Upgrade Your Twilio Account – Keep Your Trial Minutes!

For those of you who have signed up for a Twilio account, you know that you start out with 1000 free minutes in your developer sandbox to start exploring the Twilio APIs and coding up your first projects.  These minutes come with a “pre-roll” from Twilio, and inbound callers are required to enter a PIN code to access your application.

Keep Your Sandbox Minutes

When you upgrade your Twilio account, we credit your account with any unused minutes at a rate of $0.03 per minute.

Upgrade-button

So if you’ve been considering upgrading to buy your own local or toll-free number you won’t loose those free minutes, and instead they’ll be converted into cash-value go for purchasing any Twilio service with your account.  It’s our small way of thanking you for using our service and upgrading to a paid account.

Twilio account “hack”: building more than one app or thinking you’ll need more than 1000 minutes?  The simple solution is to sign up for multiple Twilio accounts, one for each application.  This way you can manage the debugger, minutes and billing seperately.
