New Developer Contest: Twilio + Freshbooks

For this developer contest, we’re partnering up with our friends at Freshbooks. Use Twilio and the Freshbooks API to create an interesting mashup and you could win an iPad 2 along with a bunch of other great prizes.

Since this contest is a little more involved, we’re going to run it for two weeks. We’ll be posting a tutorial this Wednesday that helps you get started making your first Twilio/Freshbooks app.

    For whatever reason, I only received the newsletter for this contest on June 10th, and the contest ends June 12th.

    Now considering the contest was posted on “May 30″, developers who
    register new accounts with Freshbooks have to wait up to 5 days to
    receive oauth access, the other form of authentication has been depreciated so nix that.

    Great, so in an optimal case no production testing until around June 4th, leaving about 8 days for launch. Are you kidding me?

    If you’re going to have an app contest (which is lame) at least make the pay worth while, an iPad2 ain’t worth the trouble.

    Nice try fail contest.

      I agree. The contest should be extended since a lot of us don’t come back to read the blog everyday. I just out about it after reading the newsletter that was sent out on 6/10/11.
