If I have multiple credit cards on file, how can I control which card will be charged for my short code payment?
While you can keep multiple credit cards on file as payment methods in your Twilio account, one card is designated as the “primary” card. Short code payments are always charged to the primary card.
If you’d like your SMS usage and short code payments charged to different cards, you must manually switch between them. You will receive automated reminders of upcoming short code billing dates, which will let you know when to change your primary card.
For example: just before your short code payment is charged, you can change your primary card to be your preferred card for the short code payment. Then, after the charge has processed, you can change your primary card back to your preferred card for SMS usage charges.
