How do I configure a phone number to receive phone calls or SMS messages?
To configure a number for receiving inbound calls or SMS messages, you must specify a URL or Application SID for the code that Twilio will use to determine what to do with your call or SMS message. To do this, you need to navigate to the numbers page of your dashboard and click on the phone number you want to configure. You will then be able to insert a URL to where your TwiML file is hosted. The TwiML at the URL you specify will be what directs the flow of your call or SMS. For more information, see our How It Works page.
