Before TwilioCon ends, Twilio founder and CEO Jeff Lawson will host a Fireside Chat with Ethan Kurzweil and Josh Stein. They’ll cover the future of developer platforms, how developers are changing communications tools and what it means to see the world through the lens of software.
Ethan Kurzweil is a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, focusing on web and mobile technologies as well as cloud computing. He discovers and invests in new developer platforms, uncovering exciting consumer facing businesses.
Ethan has followed the rise of developer focused APIs saying, “The change in developer platform has been massive. The way developers build products today is totally different than what it used to look like in the past. That’s hitting both startup companies like Twilio, and enterprises.” “At the heart of it is this desire for on-demand computing resources when people want them in the cloud.”
Josh Stein is a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. He’s led DFJ’s investments in companies such as Box, Swell, Yammer and Sugar CRM. He comes from a long history of telecom experience, as the former Vice President of Telephia, a provider of syndicated consumer research to the telecom and mobile media markets.
After the Fireside Chat, we’ll have a Q&A session for Jeff, Ethan and Josh to answer any questions you might have.
