Getting access to product benefits from Twilio.org is now easier than ever. Today, Twilio.org is announcing that more organizations can quickly apply for the Impact Access program with a simplified sign up experience in the Console. That means you can start building faster and scale your work affordably with credits and discounts applied across the Twilio platform.
An improved sign up experience for the Twilio.org Impact Access program has been extended to the following types of qualifying organizations:
- UK-based organizations: Social impact customers with their Twilio account currency set to the British Pound can now sign up for the Impact Access Program in the Twilio Console and receive a £400 kickstart product credit plus platform discounts.
- Public education institutions: Public universities, colleges, and K-12 schools worldwide are eligible and invited to apply for the Impact Access Program using a new dedicated organization type to receive kickstart credits and discounts.
New support in the Impact Access Console now enable these organizations to receive Twilio.org benefits in less time and with fewer required steps. We hope this enhanced support from Twilio.org will unlock the imagination of thousands more social impact builders to scale their programs to new heights – like empowering more public school teachers to create better educational outcomes for their students, and helping more UK-based nonprofit organizations adopt digital program delivery and fundraising strategies.
As a reminder, all public benefit nonprofits (now including UK-based organizations) are eligible for instant approval for Impact Access via TechSoup to receive their credits and discounts in minutes.

UK-based social impact organizations
Now, any organization operating out of the UK can use the self-service signup process in the Console to apply for Impact Access Program benefits and have their kickstart product credits applied in British Pounds – matching the set local currency of their account.
UK-based charitable nonprofits should visit the Twilio.org TechSoup Validation Portal to get a validation token that is required for instant approval for Impact Access Program benefits. Charity Digital is the local TechSoup validation partner for the United Kingdom, and all charities must complete their nonprofit verification process before signing up for Impact Access. For a step-by-step guide to TechSoup verification in the UK, please visit this support article and follow the instructions for non-US organizations.
Once approved for the Impact Access Program, UK-based social impact organizations will receive £400 in kickstart product credits as well as platform discounts. This will match the currency used for your account balance and prices for Twilio products displayed in the Console.
Public education institutions
Both higher education – universities and colleges – as well as K-12 institutions that are publicly operated are also now eligible for Impact Access benefits in the Console. These organizations should select Public education institution as their organization type and attach the public education eligibility form to their application when signing up. Once approved, public education institutions will receive kickstart credits ($500 USD or £400 GBP) and discounts toward Twilio platform usage. Public education institutions globally are invited to apply for the Impact Access Program.
Note that private education institutions (registered as nonprofits) continue to be eligible for the Impact Access Program and should select the public benefit nonprofit category when applying for the Impact Access program in the Console.
