# 21669: Phone number region does not match the Messaging Service region

## Description

This error occurs when you try to add a phone number to a Messaging Service, but the phone number's regional configuration doesn't match the region of the Messaging Service. Phone numbers are configured for `US1` by default.

### Possible causes

* The phone number is configured for `US1`, but you are trying to add it to a Messaging Service in the `IE1` region.
* The phone number is configured for `IE1`, but you are trying to add it to a Messaging Service in the `US1` region.

### Possible solutions

* Update the phone number's messaging region to match the Messaging Service's region before adding it.
* Add the phone number to a Messaging Service that matches the phone number's current regional configuration.
