# 30548: Charitable program does not separate consent for donation requests

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

This error applies to both Toll-Free Verification and A2P 10DLC registration.

Programs that send both transactional or informational notifications and financial solicitation messages over a single line must offer separate consent options for each category. A single combined checkbox is not compliant.

### Possible causes

* A single signup checkbox covers both account notifications and donation requests, such as "I agree to receive account notifications and donation requests from \[Brand Name]."
* The form ties informational alerts and fundraising or donation requests together in one consent statement.

### Possible solutions

* Update the registration form to use separate, independent checkboxes for each program component.
* Provide unchecked checkboxes so users can opt into informational updates without being forced to consent to donation requests, for example one checkbox for account and informational alerts and a separate checkbox for fundraising and donation messages.
* Resubmit with the updated form.
