# 30810: Verification rejection - DBA name must be accurately provided

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

Your verification request was rejected because the business identity in the submission didn't clearly match the registered business information. If you send messages under a trade name, sub-entity, or downstream brand, include that name in `doingBusinessAs`. Messaging on the phone number remains blocked until the number is verified.

### Possible causes

* The `businessName` value uses a brand name that doesn't match the registered legal business name.
* Your business operates under a DBA or trade name, but the `doingBusinessAs` field is blank, incomplete, or inaccurate.
* The information in the verification request doesn't clearly show how the operating name relates to the registered business.

### Possible solutions

* Update `businessName` so it exactly matches your registered business name.
* If you use a trade name, enter the exact DBA in `doingBusinessAs`.
* Make sure your website and other verification details identify the same business name or clearly show the connection between the legal business and the DBA.
* If requested, provide documentation that shows the relationship between the registered business name and the operating name.
* If your verification response shows `edit_allowed` as `true`, correct the request and resubmit it before the `edit_expiration` time. If the request can no longer be edited, submit a new verification request with the corrected business identity details.
