# 30856: Verification rejection - High Risk: Deceptive Marketing

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

This error means your verification request was rejected because the submission was classified as High Risk: Deceptive Marketing. The verification review considers the sending business, stated use case, sample message content, web presence, opt-in or consent flow, and associated privacy policy or terms information.

### Possible causes

* The submission indicates that the business or messaging program is associated with a forbidden messaging category classified as High Risk: Deceptive Marketing.
* The stated use case, sample messages, website content, or opt-in materials appear misleading, deceptive, or inconsistent with the business being verified.
* The verification review raised compliance concerns after evaluating the business, use case, sample content, web presence, consent collection, and related privacy or terms information.

### Possible solutions

* Review the rejection details for the phone number in the Regulatory Information tab in Console and confirm whether the verification is eligible for resubmission.
* If you believe the rejection is incorrect, contact Support and provide additional information that clearly explains your business, messaging use case, and consent flow.
* Verify that the submission accurately reflects your end business and use case, including `businessWebsite`, `useCaseSummary`, `productionMessageSample`, `optInType`, and any publicly hosted opt-in evidence. Include privacy policy and terms links when they apply to your program.
* If the messaging program includes deceptive or otherwise forbidden marketing, stop using the phone number for that use case. Content and Messaging Policy rejections aren't eligible for resubmission.
