# 420031: Knowledge source request timeout

## Description

The web crawler received a `408 Request Timeout` response or the request timed out before the target URL could respond during knowledge ingestion.

### Possible causes

* The target server is responding too slowly
* Network latency or connectivity issues
* The target site is experiencing high load or performance problems
* The page takes too long to generate or load
* Temporary network interruptions during crawling

### Possible solutions

* Verify the target URL loads within 30 seconds in a web browser
* Check if the target site is experiencing performance issues or outages
* If the timeout is temporary, the crawler will retry on the next scheduled crawl
* For consistently slow URLs, consider downloading the content manually and uploading as a file
* Contact the target site administrator if the site is consistently slow
* Review the knowledge source error details in the Twilio Console
