# 63024: Invalid message recipient

## Description

This error occurs when a WhatsApp message cannot be delivered because Meta identifies the recipient as an invalid WhatsApp user or applies another recipient-side restriction.

### Possible causes

* The recipient phone number is not enabled for WhatsApp.
* The recipient has not accepted WhatsApp's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
* The recipient is using an old or unsupported version of the WhatsApp client on their phone.

### Possible solutions

* Confirm that the recipient's phone number is an active WhatsApp number and that the recipient can receive messages in WhatsApp.
* Ask the recipient to open WhatsApp and accept the latest Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then retry the message.
* Ask the recipient to update WhatsApp to a supported version on their device, then retry delivery.
