# 91303: Event dropped due to an internal error

Log Type: TWILIO

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

Twilio records this error when Event Streams cannot process an event for delivery because of an internal fault, before any delivery attempt is made to your sink.

The event is dropped and is not retried. Dropped events are lost permanently and cannot be queued, retried, or re-delivered. This is an internal condition and does not indicate a problem with your sink or subscription configuration.

### Possible causes

* Twilio could not convert the event into the format the sink type requires.
* The stored event payload could not be read.
* Twilio could not resolve the delivery configuration for the event.
* An internal error occurred while assembling the outbound request.

### Possible solutions

* No configuration change on your side will resolve this.
* Contact [Twilio Support](https://help.twilio.com) and include the sink SID, subscription SID, event ID, event type, and the timestamp of the failure. The specific internal failure is recorded on the event and Support can retrieve it.
* If this affects more than an isolated event, say whether it is limited to one event type or one subscription — that narrows the cause considerably.
