# Buy a phone number in the Legacy Console for Twilio

This guide explains how to buy a phone number in the Legacy Console for Twilio.

## Buy a phone number in the Legacy Console

Follow these steps to buy a phone number in the Legacy Console.

1. In the [Legacy Console](https://console.twilio.com/) **Develop** tab, click **Phone Numbers** > **Manage** > **Buy a number**.
2. \[Optional] Apply filters to limit results and click **Search**.
3. Click **Buy** next to the number you want to buy.
4. On the **Review Phone Number** modal, review your selection and click **Buy \<number>**.

Your phone number is successfully purchased and available in the Legacy Console for Twilio. To view your purchased numbers in the Legacy Console, go to **Phone Numbers** > **Manage** > **Active numbers**.
