14111: Invalid To phone number for Trial mode

WARNING

You can only send messages or place calls from a trial account to verified recipient numbers. If the To number is not verified on your trial account, Twilio returns this warning.

Possible causes

  • The To number has not been added as a verified recipient on your trial account.
  • You are sending to a different phone number than the one you used to sign up, which is the only number verified automatically.
  • Your trial account has already reached the limit for verified recipients.
  • The recipient number was not added to your account because the same tester number is already associated with too many accounts.
  • Verify the To phone number on your trial account, then send the message or place the call again.
  • If you are testing with your own device, use the phone number you used to create the account or confirm that the destination number appears in your verified recipients list.
  • Remove an unused verified recipient if you have reached your trial limit, then verify the new number.
  • Upgrade your account if you need to contact recipients that are not verified on your trial account.
