If you Google an incoming phone number instead of answering the phone, this application is for you! It works in a few steps:

  1. You give someone (i.e. your dentist, a repair person) your Twilio phone number.
  2. Your provider calls your Twilio phone number
  3. Twilio looks up the number using the Lookup API(link takes you to an external page)
  4. Twilio sends you an SMS with Caller Name* and Carrier information
  5. Twilio forwards the call to your phone number

If step 3 or 4 fails, it will still forward the call as if you'd given the person your personal phone number.

*Caller name information is currently only available in the US
