21715: Phone Number Does Not Have Correct Messaging Service Capabilities

This error occurs when you try to add a phone number to a Messaging Service and that number doesn't support SMS or MMS. A phone number must have at least one of those capabilities before you can add it to a Messaging Service.

• The phone number you are trying to add doesn't have SMS or MMS capabilities.
• The phone number type you selected doesn't provide the messaging capability your use case requires. Twilio phone number capabilities vary by number and region.

• Check the phone number's capabilities on the Active Numbers page in Console before you add it to the Messaging Service.
• Add only a phone number that supports SMS, MMS, or both to your Messaging Service sender pool.
• If you need a different sender, search for an available Twilio number with the required SMS or MMS connectivity and then add that number to the Messaging Service.
