30518: Toll Free verification rejection - Call-to-action missing required disclosures
The Toll-Free phone number verification submission has been reviewed and it was rejected. Messaging traffic on this Toll-Free number is blocked until it's verified.
Verification is one component of ensuring A2P SMS is used by businesses in a legal and compliant manner. The review process looks at the business sending messaging (not the software powering it), the use case, sample content, the web presence, the opt-in/consent collected and associated website terms and privacy policies.
The call-to-action (CTA) in your opt-in process is missing required disclosures. These may include:
- Brand/Program Name
- Message frequency disclosure for recurring programs
- Opt-in disclosure and pricing statement (e.g., "Msg & Data rates may apply")
- Customer support and Opt-Out details
- Inconsistency between the Toll-Free Number in the submission and the one in the Call-to-Action
-
Update your Call-to-Action to include all required details:
- Your business or program name
- Message frequency disclosure (for recurring messages)
- Standard pricing statement ("Msg & Data rates may apply")
- Customer support information and opt-out instructions
-
Ensure consistency between the toll-free number in your submission and in your Call-to-Action
-
Include all disclosures in proximity to where consumers provide their phone number
