30826: Verification rejection - Political campaigns require a Campaign Verify token

Twilio Messaging DocumentationMessaging

Description

description page anchor

Your verification submission was rejected because your political messaging use case requires a Campaign Verify token. Until your phone number is verified and approved, messaging traffic from that number to the United States and Canada is blocked.

Possible causes

possible-causes page anchor
  • Your organization is a 527 political organization and you selected POLITICAL_ELECTION_CAMPAIGNS, but no Campaign Verify token was provided.
  • The Campaign Verify token in VettingId is incomplete, malformed, case-sensitive mismatch, or expired.
  • The Campaign Verify token doesn't match the political organization listed in the verification submission.
  • The verification request was submitted without the required political vetting details.
  • Obtain a valid Campaign Verify token for the political organization before you resubmit the verification.
  • If you submit through the API, set VettingProvider to CAMPAIGN_VERIFY and pass the full token in VettingId.
  • Use the full Campaign Verify token exactly as issued, including all pipe-delimited fields.
  • Confirm the token is still valid and registered to the same political entity in your submission. If the token has expired, update the verification request with a new token.
  • If you submitted through the Console, provide the Campaign Verify token when prompted during verification.
  • If the rejected submission is eligible for editing, resubmit the corrected verification within the allowed edit window.
