60704: Phone number not branded by Twilio

Twilio Messaging DocumentationMessaging

Description

description page anchor

This error occurs when the origination number in From is not recognized as a valid branded phone number for your account. To send SMS or MMS to US recipients over a 10DLC number, register a Brand, register a Campaign, and register each phone number in the linked Messaging Service before you send traffic.

Possible causes

possible-causes page anchor
  • The From number does not belong to your account.
  • The From number is incorrect or not formatted in E.164.
  • The number is not correctly linked to an approved A2P 10DLC Brand and Campaign.
  • The Brand is deactivated, failed verification, or is not approved.
  • The Campaign is pending, failed, rejected, or suspended.
  • The phone number was not added to the Messaging Service linked to the Campaign, or the phone number registration has not completed.
  • Make sure the From number belongs to your account and is in E.164 format.
  • Complete A2P 10DLC registration for the sender. Create the required compliance profile, register your Brand, register your Campaign, and wait until the Campaign is verified before sending traffic.
  • Add the phone number to the Messaging Service linked to your Campaign. Use a Messaging Service for phone numbers subject to A2P 10DLC.
  • Check the Brand, Campaign, and phone number registration status in Console or with the API. If a registration failed, correct the registration data and resubmit it. If a Campaign has been pending longer than 10 to 15 days, contact Support.
  • If you only send one-time passcodes, use Verify instead of registering a 10DLC number. If A2P 10DLC is not the right fit for your use case, use a toll-free number or short code instead.
