Segments
Marketing. A dynamic collection of contacts grouped based on criteria you define.
To create a segment, you define criteria that a contact should meet to belong in that segment.
Criteria can include any contact data you track and store. A criterion might be personally identifiable information (PII), like gender, location, or birthday, or interaction data like package type or prior email engagement.
Segments can start from all contacts or a specific existing list.
Segments update when you add customers who meet the criteria of your segment or the traits of your contacts change.
Segmentation can help you target the best recipients for your campaign.
For example: You create a segment with the criteria opened an email within 30 days. Contacts in the segment evolve as the contacts open your email.
