30810: Verification rejection - DBA name must be accurately provided

Twilio Messaging DocumentationMessaging

Description

description page anchor

Your verification request was rejected because the business identity in the submission didn't clearly match the registered business information. If you send messages under a trade name, sub-entity, or downstream brand, include that name in doingBusinessAs. Messaging on the phone number remains blocked until the number is verified.

Possible causes

possible-causes page anchor
  • The businessName value uses a brand name that doesn't match the registered legal business name.
  • Your business operates under a DBA or trade name, but the doingBusinessAs field is blank, incomplete, or inaccurate.
  • The information in the verification request doesn't clearly show how the operating name relates to the registered business.
  • Update businessName so it exactly matches your registered business name.
  • If you use a trade name, enter the exact DBA in doingBusinessAs.
  • Make sure your website and other verification details identify the same business name or clearly show the connection between the legal business and the DBA.
  • If requested, provide documentation that shows the relationship between the registered business name and the operating name.
  • If your verification response shows edit_allowed as true, correct the request and resubmit it before the edit_expiration time. If the request can no longer be edited, submit a new verification request with the corrected business identity details.
