Platform SDK Support Policy

(warning)

Warning

This page is for reference only. We are no longer onboarding new customers to Programmable Video. Existing customers can continue to use the product until December 5, 2024(link takes you to an external page).
We recommend migrating your application to the API provided by our preferred video partner, Zoom. We've prepared this migration guide(link takes you to an external page) to assist you in minimizing any service disruption.

The iOS, Android, and Javascript SDKs use Semantic Versioning(link takes you to an external page). A breaking API change will result in an increment in the major version number of the SDK. Twilio will support SDK version N-1 for 12 months after the first GA release of version N. For example, version 3.x is supported for 12 months after the GA release of version 4.0. The previous major version will only receive fixes for critical issues until the end of the 12 months, at which point the SDK version is no longer supported.

Info

To ensure your account has the most up-to-date features and bug fixes, we recommend updating your Twilio Video SDKs at least once a quarter.
