Programmable Wireless: Cellular Network Configuration

Configuring your wireless IoT device to use a Twilio SIM card requires only a few small configuration items. You need to set the Twilio Access Point Name (APN) and you need to use the Twilio Commands phone number.

Configure the Twilio APN for IoT and NB-IoT

IoT APN

The Access Point Name (APN) for the Twilio Programmable Wireless SIM is:

wireless.twilio.com

No authentication (username and password) is required for the IoT APN.

Narrowband IoT

The Access Point Name (APN) for the Twilio Narrowband SIM (provided in partnership with T-Mobile USA) is:

iot.nb

No authentication (username and password) is required for the NB-IoT APN.

For more information about APNs, see APN Configuration.

Commands Phone Number

Commands sent from the Twilio cloud to your SIM will arrive from the reserved phone number:

2936

Similarly, Commands sent from your SIM to the Twilio cloud must be sent to the same number:

2936

For more information about using the REST API Commands resource, see Commands.
