Today we released Twilio Client, a brand new way to communicate with the world. Twilio Client is more than just a phone in your browser, it’s an audio pipe that lets you plug into Twilio from any web browser and use the APIs you’re already familiar with to build a whole new class of powerful applications.

To celebrate the launch of Twilio Client, we’re holding a special contest. The rules are simple: two weeks to develop something interesting using Twilio Client. We’ll be picking five winners—bonus points for putting together helpful materials (screencasts, blog posts, etc.) that demonstrate the value of what you’ve built or explain how it could become a business someday.

Entries can be submitted here. (Extra brownie points for also listing your entry in the Twilio gallery and ProgrammableWeb.)

Everyone that participates and meets the requirements above will get $50 in Twilio credit. Five winners will receive:

  • $100 in Twilio credit
  • Twilio track jacket, t-shirt, and stickers
  • A customized Twilio Timbuk2 messenger bag
  • A full pass to the Twilio (Sept 21st-22nd)
  • And a brand new 11″ MacBook Air to keep that messenger bag company!

Two weeks, five winners. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM PDT on Sunday August 7th. Entries can be submitted here.

What’s This Developer Contest All About?

Each week we announce a new category to encourage developers to try Twilio for different use cases, industries, and integrations.  As a language-agnostic platform for cloud communications, we want to see developers from all backgrounds find success and solve problems with Twilio. To fire your imagination and reward your efforts, we’ve run this developer contest for over a year.

How To Get Involved

Submissions to the contest can be submitted here. If you need any help or want to bounce ideas off other Twilio developers, please join us on our forums or drop a note to help@twilio.com.
