Twilio Events Update Through September

Recently, Twilio announced that it had re-scheduled this year’s SIGNAL event to be held September 30th – October 1st, 2020 as part of our continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As an update, we are now announcing that the conference will now be held online as a fully virtual event, still scheduled for September 30th – October 1st, 2020. Additional details can be found at the 2020 SIGNAL Events page.

The threat posed by COVID-19 to the health of our employees, customers, and partners has rapidly evolved and remains undefined in scope and impact. As such, we made this decision out of an abundance of caution and in support of the efforts of local health and government agencies in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area to mitigate the impact of the pandemic.

Moving forward with SIGNAL as it was originally planned would have unnecessarily heightened the risk not only of attendees but also the residents of San Francisco and the Bay Area who provide support to the conference. This decision reflects Twilio’s commitment to do everything we can to ensure the safety and protection of our employees and their families, and to support the towns and cities that we call our home.

We regret the inconvenience this presents to attendees who have already made travel arrangements and devoted efforts and resources to participate in the conference in person. We share in your disappointment about changing the format but feel this was the best decision for all involved.

If you have questions or need more information, please see the SIGNAL Postponement FAQ and don’t hesitate to contact us at events@twilio.com

During the interim, Twilio will also not be hosting any other live events through September 30, 2020.

We will continue to monitor the situation and information provided by the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves. We will provide more updates as necessary.
