What a rush! In 2016, we spun up a brand new team and set forth to open up (yet another) black box of telecomCellular Wireless.

In the past months, we’ve:

Most importantly, we’ve gotten to know a ton of great customers in our burgeoning Wireless community, and we’ve listened to your feedback.

Today, Programmable Wireless graduates from Developer Preview to Beta. What does that mean? Most importantly, for customers, it means we are doubling down on service reliability and uptime. It also means that any API changes from now on will be shipped in a backwards compatible manner. Moving to Beta is one way of demonstrating our commitment to your production use cases.

We’ll continue to update everyone on the mailing list with new feature announcements and other news, and we hope you’ll keep providing us with the same great level of feedback.

Like all Twilio products, Programmable Wireless will keep improving every day. During the Developer Preview period, we deployed improved code to production five times a week on average. We are just getting started.

From everyone on the Programmable Wireless team, we can’t wait to see what you build!
