Twilio congratulates the House Energy and Commerce Committee on passing the Stopping Bad Robocalls Act. In particular, we appreciate Congressman Pallone (D-NJ) and Congressman Walden (R-OR) along with their bipartisan colleagues for their leadership on the very important issue of stopping robocalls. We agree that consumers deserve relief from illegal robocalls as soon as possible and are fully committed to working with public and private stakeholders to ensure that consumers continue to receive all wanted communications from entities such as charities, schools, health care providers and businesses alike. Combined with other legislative efforts in Congress, the Stopping Bad Robocalls Act offers key elements that are critical for solving the robocalling challenge and maintain the best interest of all consumers. We look forward to the bill being brought up to the floor for consideration by the full House and encourage its bi-partisan passage.
