Twilio supports the FCC’s efforts to block unlawful robocalls. Consumers deserve protection from the scourge of robocalls. At the same time, consumers are also entitled to continue receiving wanted and lawful calls of their choice. Consumers should not be at risk of having legitimate calls blocked, such as those used for ride-hailing services or calls from or between schools, businesses and government agencies during crisis situations. We look forward to seeing the final details of the Declaratory Ruling, and continuing our work with the FCC to stop illegal robocalls while preserving the reliability of the telephone network so that wanted calls continue to reach their intended recipients.
