Statement on FCC's Proposed Rule to Block Robocalls
Twilio is reviewing and studying the new rule proposed by the FCC with regards to automatic enrollment of customers into the various call-blocking programs offered by telecarriers. Twilio does not allow robocalling on our platform and actively work to prevent perpetrators from making unwanted calls using our product. We appreciate the leadership of the FCC and Members of Congress for making the issue of robocalling a top priority and agree that consumers need relief as soon as possible. Twilio is fully committed to efforts to authenticate calls so the identity of callers can be proven and we look forward to continue working with agency and public policy leaders on this important matter.
