Twilio Releases is where you come to take your Twilio game to the next-level. 🚀

What is “Twilio Releases”? 🤔

Twilio Releases is a new program designed to make it easy for you to learn all about the latest APIs, features, and best practices, on the Twilio Customer Engagement Platform. Our first Twilio Releases: Summer 2020 webinar was on July 21st, where we shared the latest and greatest features of the season with our ever-growing developer community.

If you missed it, no worries. Watch it on-demand:

Don’t have time to 👀 the webinar? No problem! Everything you need to know is right here.

What was launched in Summer 2020 😎

As a platform company, our job is to make it as easy as possible for developers to experiment and create experiences that define the future.

Studio REST API v2 with Flow Publishing

Twilio Studio

When it comes to Studio, on the top of many developers’ wishlist is better integration with existing developer processes — the ability to create, iterate, and deploy Studio Flows via an API. With the beta release of the Studio REST API v2, we can now provide support for publishing of Flows via the REST API, our helper libraries, and the Twilio CLI.

Voice Notifications App

Voice Notifications App

We are open-sourcing a Voice Notification App built in ReactJS for the Web. This reference app can be deployed to Heroku in minutes to demonstrate how to leverage Programmable Voice APIs.

The coolest thing about this app is that you get access to the source code so you can see how the different Twilio “building blocks” can fit together as a starting point for your own bespoke solution. This application is available on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 license.

Twilio SendGrid Event Webhook Security Features

Signed Event Webhook Requests

Twilio SendGrid Event Webhook now offers additional layers of security for verification and authorization to give you confidence that your email event data is coming from Twilio SendGrid — Signed Event Webhook Requests and OAuth 2.0. These two security methods are separate, but can also be implemented simultaneously.
