The Data 2.0 Conference is a full-day conference (April 4, 2011) that spotlights how greater accessibility to data will impact the future of business, technology, and society.

What new database technologies will enable my app to scale?  How can my company better exploit the “Open Gov” movement?  How do I use data to better target my online advertising? These are the questions that Data 2.0 hopes to answer.

There will be over 30 speakers including Jay Adelson, CEO of SimpleGeo; Gil Elbaz, CEO of Factual; Jeff Lawson of Twilio; and speakers from Google, Microsoft, and comScore. The keynote addresses will be from Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of Palantir, and Vivek Wadhwa, professor at UCLA, Duke & Harvard Law, and a contributor at BusinessWeek and TechCrunch.

Along with the speakers, there’ll be over 40 data startups pitching and demoing during the conference, and open discussions on topics spanning the next decade of data: from the data ecosystem and the commoditization of information, to personal data control and open data initiatives.
