Porting Console for US Local Numbers in Public Beta
A faster, more reliable, and user-friendly way to port US local numbers now available in Public Beta. This does not impact the previous experience "Port a Number" which can continue to be used.
What’s new:
- Modern, streamlined UI. Create porting requests with greater clarity.
- Portability Check tool. Instantly verify if your numbers can be ported and whether a PIN is required—before you create a request.
- Digital LOA (Letter of Authorization). No uploads needed. We auto-generate a digital LOA from your porting details and route it to the authorized signer for secure e-signature.
- Live notifications. Get real-time status updates in the Twilio Console, in Porting Tickets, or via the Webhooks API.
- Preferred port date & activation time. Choose the timing that works best for your business.
- Self-serve cancellations. Cancel a port request directly from Console.
Availability & limitations (Public Beta):
- Region: United States
- Number type: US Local only
- Volume: Up to 50 numbers per request in this Public Beta release. For requests over 50 numbers: Continue using the Port a number option in the Console.
- Escalations: Paths remain unchanged; each request will create a ticket where you can communicate to Twilio operations and Support teams.
- Rollout: Full launch for all customers is planned in the coming weeks.
This upgrade reduces delays and errors while giving you more control and transparency across the porting process. With real-time validations and simplified document handling, you can save time and focus on what matters most.
Get started
You’ll now see both the new and current Console experiences in your account.
