Rate limit change for the Twilio SendGrid Email Activity API
Updates to the Email Activity API rate limits, moving to 6 requests per minute to maintain throughput and reliable performance.
Starting Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the rate limits for the Email Activity API will be updated.
The new limit is 6 requests per minute, replacing the previous 30 requests per 5-minute window. This change maintains the same sustained throughput but reduces burst capacity to ensure consistent performance and protect system reliability.
Customers who exceed the limit will receive HTTP 429 responses. If you experience throttling, adjust your polling interval or distribute requests over time.
