Updates to Voice PCI (Payment Card Industry) Recordings console setting and retention policy

Voice PCI console settings simplified and retention policy extended for all new PCI accounts.

Effective September 29th, 2025, the PCI Voice Recordings setting will become part of PCI Mode and PCI accounts created after will inherit a new recording retention period of one year, increased from the current 72 hours. These changes will simplify the console experience and allow customers to securely store call recordings made on Twilio PCI-enabled accounts for archiving, auditing, and other compliance use cases without needing to establish their own PCI adherent recording storage systems.

The new retention policy applies to existing non-PCI accounts or existing PCI customers creating new accounts that enable PCI Mode on or after September 29th, 2025. Existing PCI-enabled accounts can opt-in to this extended retention period in the Console at any time.
