Meet the Team
Tony Blank, Director of Twilio Startups
Location: Denver, Colorado
Tony is a noted speaker at industry events and has delivered hundreds of workshops, mentor sessions, and speaking engagements to help startups grow. Previously, Tony led the startup program at SendGrid, supporting a world-class team, helping over 5,000 startups find product/market fit and grow their first customers. Tony also draws on his technical expertise gained over the years at multiple startups, as a developer evangelist, and a software engineer. In his free time, Tony enjoys making music, going on dog walks, and cooking with his family.
Molly Ernst, Ecosystem Developer, US Central
Location: Denver, Colorado
Molly’s passion lies in helping founders create omnichannel engagement with their customers/clients so that founders can focus on the big picture. She has worn many hats in her career, including marketing and sales/business development at early, mid-stage, and public companies. She believes that wearing the customer's shoes will help to create a sustainable and scalable business model. She has mentored hundreds of startups on topics including email marketing and communications strategy. In her free time, Molly enjoys traveling with family & friends, hiking 14er's in Colorado, and teaching yoga!
Dellaena Maliszewski, Ecosystem Developer, US West
Location: San Francisco, CA
Dellaena is passionate about mentoring startups in areas of Growth, Marketing, Acquisition. Previously, she held leadership roles at top companies like O’Reilly Media, Venturebeat, and Google. She has advised countless founders in areas including GTM strategy, Content Marketing, SEO/SEM, Developer Marketing, and Insanely Fast Audience Acquisition for B2B and B2B2C companies. In her free time, she races dirt bikes and volunteers for coding programs for underrepresented demographics.
Nikki Rubin, Ecosystem Developer, US East
Location: New York, NY
Nikki is a former entrepreneur and investor committed to helping startups grow and scale. Previously, she founded travel itinerary planning platform Bon Voyaging (acquired by Passported), advised at New York Venture Partners, and launched Creative Destruction Lab NYC and Endless Frontier Labs at Stern School of Business. She is passionate about helping founders, especially with fundraising, building product roadmaps, and forging strategic partnerships. She has an MA and an MBA with a focus in product management from NYU. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and kids and visiting art museums.
Frank Yaw-Owusu, Ecosystem Developer, EMEA
Location: London, England
Frank is both curious and passionate about how digital strategy, disruptive innovation, technology, and culture can transform the ways businesses and people behave and interact within a society responding to continuous change. Previously, Frank studied Law and has worked as a senior strategy consultant at IBM, Parliamentary Digital Services, and KPMG. He enjoys building meaningful relationships with founders and helping them to solve their most complex challenges as they scale. In his free time, he plays soccer, loves traveling and reading about how technology adoption and the startup ecosystem is growing further in MENA & Sub-Saharan Africa.
Brendan Yell, Director, Twilio Startups, APAC/US West
Location: Sydney, Australia
Brendan is an experienced technology entrepreneur and mentor. Founder of ShopFree.com back in 1999 and RecipeLover in 2004, he has spent a career in technology startups. Apart from his role at Twilio, Brendan is the director of Startup Grind Sydney, hosting over 50 events with founders like Cameron Adams (Canva), Patrick Lee (Rotten Tomatoes), and Cal Henderson (Slack). He is deeply connected not only in the Australian startup ecosystem, but right across Asia – mentoring startups from Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
