We have a bevy of events coming up so I wanted to highlight some of the talks and sessions some of the Twilio team will be facilitating in the near future.

MIX11 – We need your help!

MIX is Microsoft’s big web-focused conference happening this April. This year they’re holding open call for sessions for which you can vote for your favorites to be accepted to present at the conference. I (John Sheehan) submitted four talks and one was accepted for the final voting round. Even if you’re not attending the event, video of the talks will be recorded and available for free download.

If you have a moment, please vote for my talk today. Thanks!

mvcConf – February 8th

2011-02-03_1259
Next Tuesday, the second mvcConf online conference for ASP.NET MVC developers will be taking place. Over 2500 people have already registered for the free event. I’ll be giving a session on how to use ASP.NET MVC with Twilio at 10AM ET. If you can’t make it, the talk will be recorded and available after the event. Attendee spots are going fast, so be sure to register to take part of this great event. If you need more convincing, Jon Galloway has written a post about the Top 10 Reasons to Get Excited about mvcConf.

Rocky Mountain Tech Trifecta – March 5th

I’ll be giving a talk at Rocky Mountain Tech Trifecta in Denver on the ‘State of REST in .NET’. The event is free and you can register here. The complete event schedule will be posted soon.

Tour of Montana – April 6-7

I’ll be visiting Montana April 6-7 to visit with some customers and speak at two user groups. On the 6th I’ll be in Bozeman. Final details have yet to be worked out, but you can get updates on the Meetup page. On the 7th I’ll be in Missoula for another talk. I’ll be talking Twilio, REST in .NET and maybe a little WebMatrix on both nights. If you’re in Montana, I’d love to meet you at either event!

John Britton will be talking at South by Southwest Interactive on a free web developer training course created by Mozilla and Peer 2 Peer University. John will answer the following questions:
  1. What is Peer 2 Peer University and the School of Webcraft?
  2. What is Mozilla Drumbeat, and why should I care?
  3. What happened in the free, open enrollment, online course ‘Mashing Up the Open Web?’
  4. How will the Peer 2 Peer University and School of Webcraft change assessment and accreditation?
  5. Why should I care about the Peer 2 Peer University School of Webcraft? Now that I care, how do I get involved?
