GA Connections

Web Device Mode Destination Filters General Availability

Web Device Mode Destination Filters is available to all users on Business Tier plans. 

This feature enables you to use the same interface and APIs to prevent certain data from flowing into a destination and gives you more flexibility when working with Segment and your various marketing tools.

Journeys Ad Destinations with Time Based Exits General Availability

The Show an ad step lets you send users to an advertising destination. You can also configure exit settings that remove users from the ad step after a specified period of time.

For example, you may want to show an ad for only one week to users who abandoned a cart during a purchase. With the Show an ad step, you can remove users from the ad destination seven days after they enter it.

GA Connections Unify

Linked Events General Availability

Twilio Segment is now offering Linked Events into General Availability.

Linked Events enables you to enrich real-time event streams with entities from your data warehouse to your destinations.

Data teams can insert additional event context for downstream applications for richer data about each event.

Linked Events is available to all US and EU workspaces and is a HIPAA Eligible Service.

Connections Engage

rETL for Subscriptions Generally Available

Engage Premier customers can now update global and group subscription statuses using rETL.

Segment has added a Send Subscriptions action as part of the Segment Profiles destination and enriched the Subscriptions payload as part of the Identify call.

Segment has also added the ability to select a space and multiple subscription groups in the mapping selections section of the existing rETL mapping UI.

Beta Connections

Reusable Tracking Plans & Libraries Public Beta

Reusable Tracking Plans & Libraries includes two new features: Property Library Syncing and Duplicate Tracking Plans & Libraries. Both beta features are available to all customers with access to Protocols.

Property Library Syncing enables Protocols users to apply changes made to a Property Library across any synced Tracking Plan.

Duplicate Tracking Plans enables Tracking Plan users to duplicate existing Tracking Plans and libraries.

Data Splits for Journeys 2.0 Public Beta

The Data Split step allows users to send profiles down different Journey paths based on profile trait conditions or existing audience membership. Users can configure multiple conditions for each branch based on: 

  • Profiles with or without traits

  • Profiles are part of or not part of an audience

Please note: we only support mutually exclusive Journey paths, so users will be evaluated for branch conditions in sequential order. Users can reorder the branches to adjust rankings.
