Twilio Conversations API pricing is billed on a monthly active user (MAU) model plus media storage and underlying channel-specific message fees. You only pay for unique participants who actively send or receive messages across supported channels during a billing cycle.
The first 200 monthly active users are free. After that, pricing starts at $0.05 per active user for up to 5,000 users, drops to $0.0475 for 5,001 to 10,000 users, and drops to $0.045 for 10,001 to 20,000 users, with custom volume pricing available above 20,000 active users.
Yes. Enabling users to send and receive photos, videos, or other attachment file types incurs a dedicated media storage charge of $0.25 per gigabyte of stored media per month.
Yes. In addition to the monthly active user fee, standard channel-specific fees apply. These include standard SMS and MMS segment rates, carrier passthrough fees, WhatsApp conversation fees, and monthly phone number rentals where applicable.
