2025 Global Impact Week Recap
More than 1,300 Twilions across 27 cities volunteered 3,700+ hours during this year’s Global Impact Week, connecting with one another and their communities to bring Twilio’s value of empowering others to life. For the first time, Global Impact Week also featured a companywide giving campaign that surpassed its $20,000 goal, expanding the impact of Twilions’ service even further.
Global Impact Week is every Twilion’s opportunity to give back, learn, and take part in collective change. Building on last year’s momentum, in the 2025 program, Twilions could volunteer on their own, through events across 27 hubs around the world, or join virtual experiences with nonprofit partners worldwide. No matter how they gave their time, the collective impact proved to build communities hour by hour.
Volunteerism in action
Across continents, Twilions came together to make a measurable difference in their communities. Highlights from the week include:
Denver Hub – Supporting Boys & Girls Club of Metro Denver: Continuing a year-round partnership, Denver-based Twilions volunteered across three club sites, organizing libraries, deep cleaning facilities, and reading with students. Their hands-on support created welcoming and engaging spaces for youth.
Pune Hub – Planting Seeds for the Future: At the City of Child campus, Twilions planted more than 110 fruit trees to promote sustainability and food security for local residents. The project reflected a commitment to long-term impact through environmental stewardship and community empowerment.
Twin Cities Hub – Fighting Food Insecurity: In Minneapolis, employees volunteered at Second Harvest Heartland, sorting and packing over 2,000 pounds of potatoes and 351 boxes of apples—equivalent to 260 meals per volunteer.
Meanwhile, hundreds of others took part in other in-person events and virtually, with on-screen activities including contributing to citizen science through Zooniverse, mentoring students online with Career Village and HBCU Heroes, and among supporting many other nonprofits remotely. Still others found creative ways to serve independently, from organizing neighborhood cleanups to fundraising for local causes.
Recognizing excellence
This year’s Global Impact Week featured a friendly competition to inspire participation and reward teamwork. The Strategy & Operations team achieved 100% participation, and the Legal team followed next with 54% team participation. Both teams earned a $25,000 donation to a nonprofit of their choice.
Among Twilio’s hubs, Tallinn and Pune led the way in participation. Individual winners received recognition, giving credits, and more. These achievements highlight how Twilions coming together as a team can amplify impact and create meaningful change in their communities.
A message of gratitude
Twilio extends sincere thanks to its global network of Hub Leaders and Impact Champions, whose leadership and creativity made this year’s success possible. Through their coordination, over 25% of Twilions participated in at least one volunteer or giving opportunity.

All year round
Global Impact Week 2025 showcased the difference Twilions can make when they come together, but our commitment continues all year round. Twilions give back month after month—volunteering locally, contributing virtually, and supporting causes through giving. Every action adds up, proving that lasting impact is built through consistent engagement, collaboration, and a shared dedication to building up communities around the world.
